Hi eveybody, I haven't been participating lately but I'm back.  I hope everything is ok or at least better.  I have been on the computer hours a day learning about the system and how to work with it and where to get help for a lot of things.  If I can help anyone research an agency for help please let me know, I'll do my best.

I was having a hard time getting a job down here in Miami without being bi-lingual but I ran accross a system that taught me so quick and easy I now have to turn jobs down, if this is one of your problems about getting a job, let me know.

Well anyway I was just checking in.  

I really don't know what american people have to do to get help from their own government.  I live in Miami one of the last English, American left here.  My husband lose his job in Oct. 2007 and I lost mine 1 month ago every job interview is the same you have to be bi-lingual.  I am over 50 and to try to learn a new language is horrible in my own country where I've paid taxs all my life.

If I came in on a raft or rubber tire, I would get a place to live, money, food, clothes.  It's like pulling teeth to get help if you are not a minority.  But I am a miniority I'm English American....

I just wanted to know do any of you feel like you have a diease?  maybe I'm paranoid but friends stopped calling, I don't see anyone anymore.

I guess they think I'll ask for money, it's just a strange feeling.

I have never seen the economy so bad as it is today. You walk into a job interview and there is at least 25 people for the same job at 10 appointment.  All young just out of school and in walks in a middle ages woman.  Gee guess who they choose, young people don't expect a large salary , most live at home.

And I live in Miami if you don't speak Spanish you have a double whammy.

Husband lost his job of 30 years and with it went his insurance and of course we lived pay check to paycheck.  Right now between us we have $15, trying to get on unemployment but it's been over 3 weeks and nothing.  He was also injured on the job and so far no workers comp.  Nobody will help.  I've helped people that were supposed to be my friends moving box's and pretty hard labor for someone  my age for a few bucks. 

Please if anyone can give me any ideas on how to get something going I would appreciate it.  We have no food or gas in car right now.  I'm scared    What to do
